What do you actually do?
Two things, under one roof. As a consultancy, I help teams design, build, and rescue serious software: software architecture, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and AI features that have to survive real users, not just a demo day. As a holding company, Bejtović Capital backs early founders at pre-seed with capital and hands-on technical partnership. The through-line is 20+ years of shipping software and running engineering teams: I take on the work where getting the engineering right is what actually decides whether the business works.
What's “AI slop,” and can you fix mine?
AI slop is what you get when AI features are bolted on without engineering discipline: assistants that hallucinate, prompts that shatter the moment real inputs arrive, retrieval that returns confident nonsense, and vibe-coded prototypes that fall over under real traffic or real data. Yes, I fix it. That usually means auditing what you have, grounding the model in your own data (proper chunking, embeddings, and retrieval), adding evaluations so quality is measured instead of guessed, and wrapping the whole thing in guardrails, graceful fallbacks, and observability. The result is AI you can actually trust in production: accurate, fast, and predictable on cost.
How do you engage: fixed project, retainer, or equity?
Whatever fits the problem. For a defined scope (an architecture, a rebuild, a specific AI feature) I'll scope it and deliver as a fixed project. For ongoing needs I work as a fractional CTO or engineering lead on a retainer, steering architecture, hiring, and delivery. And for the right early-stage company I'll trade some or all of that for equity, or pair consulting with an investment. What do you invest in, and at what stage?
Pre-seed. I back technical founders building real products, ideally where deep software or AI is the hard part and the actual moat, because that's where I can add far more than money. Beyond the check, I get hands-on: architecture reviews, hiring your first engineers, and unblocking the technical roadmap. I've been on the building side for 20+ years and co-founded Nuclicore, so I invest like an operator, not a spectator. If that's you, send a deck and tell me what you're building.
Remote or on-site? Where are you based?
Bejtović Capital is based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and I work remotely with teams anywhere. I've led distributed engineering organisations for years. For consulting that means I plug into your stack, tools, and rituals as if I were on the team. For portfolio companies it means async support day to day, with deeper in-person or live sessions when it counts. Overlap with European hours is easiest, but I've worked across US and global teams too.
