We take the protection of your personal data seriously. Below we inform you, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), about how personal data is processed in connection with the use of this website.

2. Your rights as a data subject
With regard to your personal data, you have the following rights:

- right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR),
- right to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
3. Hosting
This website is hosted with DigitalOcean (DigitalOcean, LLC, USA) in its data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany; website data is therefore stored and processed within the European Union. When you access the website, technically necessary data is processed (see "Server log files"). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and efficiently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place (Art. 28 GDPR), supplemented by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Server log files
When you visit the website, information is automatically collected in server log files that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page/file accessed, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is used for technical provision, security and error analysis and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted after a short period unless required to investigate security incidents.
5. TLS encryption
For security, this website uses TLS encryption, recognisable by "https://" in your browser's address bar.
6. Contact & pitch form
Our form lets you contact us about working together ("Work with me") or present a company to us ("Pitch me"). We process the data you enter: name, email address, message and, depending on your request, company name, a link to your pitch deck and/or a file you upload (pitch deck in PDF, PPT, PPTX or KEY format).
The data is processed to handle your enquiry, to communicate with you, and, for pitches, to assess a possible investment. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures or handling your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in communication and assessment (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Form data is stored on our server and additionally sent to us by email (see "Email delivery"). We retain the data for as long as necessary to handle your request and delete it afterwards, unless legal retention obligations apply. You may object to further storage at any time.
7. Spam protection via Cloudflare Turnstile
To protect our form from misuse and spam, we use "Turnstile" by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Turnstile checks whether input comes from a human or a machine and processes, among other things, your IP address and device/browser information. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing spam and abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Processing may involve a transfer to the USA. More information: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
8. Email delivery (Resend)
To deliver messages submitted through the form to our inbox, we use the service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) as a processor. The form data you submit is processed for this purpose. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. The transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Cookies and local storage
We do not use tracking or analytics cookies. Technically necessary technologies may be used as part of spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). Your choice in the cookie notice is stored solely locally in your browser (localStorage) so the notice is not shown again; this information is not transmitted to us.
10. No web analytics, no tracking
This website does not use any web analytics, tracking or profiling services, and no advertising cookies.
